Automatically attempts to connect to any open access point that comes within range as you are walking down the streets hunting for WiFi.
When an attempt is made it alerts you with the vibrator to stand still and wait. That way you don't need to watch the screen while walking.
The connection is then verified against restricted networks and payment hotspots by trying to fetch the Google website icon.
If it fails connecting or verifying you are alerted with the vibrator again and it resumes scanning.
NOTE: Don't lock the screen/phone, or it will not scan. outSSIDer prevents auto-lock while it's running.
NOTE: There are a few Android phones where it doesn't work as expected.
