The more a product is colored, processed or prepared, the more likely it contains additives in number. Naturally occurring or synthetic, not all are useful to the consumer. Some are even misleading when revive color, enhance flavor or to mask the use of raw materials of lesser quality.
If the majority does not pose a particular health problem, others still cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. For children is at hand, to the extent that some additives may make them exceed the maximum daily dose for their age.
