Dr. Samarendra Ray is presently a Professor & H.O.D., Department of Orthodon-tics & Dento-facial Orthopedics at Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Panihati, Kolkata (JIS Group) and in-charge of Orthodontic Post-graduate training program conducted in the Institute. He is attached to Apollo Gleneagles, Gariahat, as visiting consultant and maintains his private practice in Durapur and Kolkata.
He has completed M.D.S. in Orthodontics, ( 3-yr post graduate training) from R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata after graduating (B.D.S.) from the same institute. Since then he is involved in private practice limited to Orthodon-tics only.
His international exposure in clinical Orthodontics is reflected in the precision work, contemporary thoughts and modern practice. He worked as specialist Orthodontist in Ministry of health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as Consultant Orthodontist in Apollo Hospitals, Dhaka.
