The Chennai Metro Rail is a rapid transit system in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Phase I of the project consists of two corridors covering a length of 45.1 kilometres (28.0 mi). The first line of Phase 1 has been partially completed and is open for public service from Koyambedu to Alandur.
