Kyan Mar Yae is Myanmar's first general health app, created by Myanmar IT social enterprise Koe Koe Tech in partnership with health INGO Population Services International (PSI), telco operator Ooredoo, and global mobile association GSMA via a generous GSMA Connected Women grant.
Kyan Mar Yae features valuable health information created by PSI's Myanmar doctors on 32 general health categories, including wellness, exercise, nutrition, infectious diseases like malaria and dengue, reproductive health, family planning, non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes, adolescent and child health, and cardiovascular disease.
Koe Koe Tech is Myanmar's first winner of the Echoing Green Fellowship and the Unreasonable Institute Fellowship. PSI is a world-renowned health INGO located in 65 countries. Ooredoo is a Myanmar provider of 3G mobile data and high-quality voice services. GSMA is an association of 800 mobile operators located worldwide.
