The basic and most important responsibility of the Board is to hold timely and crystal clear exams and in time declaration of results. With the grace of Allah, the Board has been successful in fulfilling this responsibility.
BISE Kohat came into being on 19 January 2002 with the appointment of Brig (Retd) Talat Imtiaz Naqvi as the Founder Chairman. The Board started functioning in temporary offices in KDA Kohat. Simultaneously, 50 kanal land was procured on Indus Highway, adjacent to Kohat University of Science & Technology. The master plan and detailed drawings of the new Board Complex were approved by Lt Gen (Retd) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Governor NWFP/Controlling Authority in September 2002 and construction of the new complex commenced on 1 November 2002. The new Board Complex was completed in a record time of just 16 months and its inauguration was performed by the Governor NWFP on 4 March 2004.

Tanggung jawab dasar dan paling penting dari Dewan adalah untuk menahan ujian yang jelas tepat waktu dan kristal dan dalam waktu deklarasi hasil. Dengan rahmat Allah, Dewan telah berhasil dalam memenuhi tanggung jawab ini.
Bise Kohat muncul menjadi pada tanggal 19 Januari 2002 dengan penunjukan Brigjen (Purnawirawan) Talat Imtiaz Naqvi sebagai Ketua Pendiri. Dewan mulai berfungsi di kantor sementara di KDA Kohat. Bersamaan, 50 lahan kanal itu diperoleh pada Indus Highway, berdekatan dengan Kohat Universitas Sains & Teknologi. Rencana induk dan gambar rinci dari Kompleks Dewan baru telah disetujui oleh Letnan Jenderal (Purnawirawan) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Gubernur NWFP / Pengendalian Authority pada bulan September 2002 dan pembangunan kompleks baru dimulai pada 1 November 2002. Kompleks Dewan baru selesai dalam catatan waktu hanya 16 bulan dan diresmikan dilakukan oleh Gubernur NWFP pada tanggal 4 Maret tahun 2004.
