StillListening adjusts the headphone volume when someone in the room starts talking. This frees you from the annoying obligation to take out the headphones when you are spoken to.
The app is meant to be used in combination with your favorite music player. StillListening runs in the background while you listen to your music.
To detect whether someone is speaking, the current decibel value in the room is constantly measured. If someone is speaking, the volume will be reduced and when silence returns, the volume will be reset to its initial level. The application is designed for quiet rooms, e. g. in the office or at home.
Setting options :
- Decibel thresholds : When exceeding the threshold, the volume is reduced.
- Noise filter : A high value leads to a reduction of the volume level even with short noises.
- Normal volume : The normal volume of the system.
- Decreased volume : The volume that is temporarily set when the threshold is exceeded.
- Delay between resetting the volume and beginning of silence.
