UHU project ODOR
In recent years, a series of events have impacted odor in urban areas around the Ria de Huelva. Several studies conducted both by the regional administration and the industry have not determined the exact origin of the same.
UHUaerosol makes available to the public an app in order to:
1) Make an inventory of events odor. Data are given anonymously through a simple questionnaire that can be performed in less than a minute includes the following parameters:
- Date and time of impact: set when the application
- Type of smell: selection of odors from floral-fruity, medicinal, fishery, gasoline, oil, paint. sulfur, vinegar, chlorine, mercaptan (gas), ammonia, hydrogen, plastic, other.
- Intensity: from 1 to 10, subjective reference
- Location (georeferenced and image).
- Photo (optional)
- Other field data.
2) Establishment of origin through atmospheric dispersion models with high resolution (Environment Ria de Huelva) and low resolution (rest of Andalusia). This point is made in collaboration with Meteosim.
The application also serves to determine the origin of re-suspended particulates (quarry, mining, public works, demolition, etc.).
