Rabies Shot Scheduler

Rabies Shot Scheduler is an easy-to-use application where anyone can generate a complete schedule of Anti-rabies vaccine shots as per World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
This app can be useful for health care professionals like doctors, nurses, medical students and other paramedics who need to treat and vaccinate their patients who come to the ER/Hospital with a history of dog bites or other animal bites. They can use this application to generate a vaccination schedule for their patients and also, calculate the doses of Rabies Immunoglobulin (RIG) whenever it's necessary. This application will save a lot of time.
• How to use this application?
Step 1: Pick the date of your first anti-rabies vaccine shot from the given calendar field.
Step 2: Select the type of exposure.
- Select 'Post-exposure Prophylaxis' if you got bitten by a suspected rabid animal and never took anti-rabies vaccine before.
- Select 'Pre-exposure Prophylaxis' if you are not bitten by any stray dogs or wild animals but want to get immunized against this fatal disease. Laboratory technicians, veterinary doctors, animal handlers, wildlife workers, etc. should receive this prophylaxis.
Step 3: Touch the 'Generate Schedule' button.
- You will get a list of five vaccination dates (Day 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28) if you select the first option, i.e. Post-exposure Prophylaxis.
- You will get a list of three vaccination dates (Day 0, 7, 21 or 28) if you select the second option, i.e. Pre-exposure Prophylaxis.
• Rabies Immunoglobulin (RIG):
Rabies Immunoglobulin is necessary along with the modern cell culture Anti-rabies Vaccines in case of Category - III (severe) bite wounds. This antiserum should be infiltrated locally in and around the wound within 0 - 7 days after the bite.
• How to calculate the dosage of Rabies Immunoglobulins?
Step 1: Navigate to 'RIG Dose Calculator' option from the left sliding panel and then enter your body weight in the text box.
Step 2: Select the type of antiserum - Human Rabies Immunoglobulin (HRIG) or Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin (ERIG).
Step 3: Touch on the 'Calculate Dose' button.
The app will calculate and show the dosage of your selected antiserum instantly.
You can also browse different pages of the app from the sliding menu (left) to learn about rabies in humans, its causes, signs and symptoms, vaccination prophylaxis, rabies immunoglobulin, wound management and treatment options etc.
This app extracts data directly from our web server. So, you need to connect your Android devices (smartphones and tablets) to the Internet while using this app.

• इस एप्लिकेशन का उपयोग कैसे करें?

- यदि आप दूसरा विकल्प चुनते हैं, यानी प्री-एक्सपोजर प्रोफिलैक्सिस, तो आपको तीन टीकाकरण तिथियों (दिन 0, 7, 21 या 28) की सूची मिलेगी।
• रेबीज इम्युनोग्लोबुलिन (RIG):
 रेबीज इम्युनोग्लोबुलिन आधुनिक सेल कल्चर के साथ-साथ एंटी-रेबीज वैक्सीन के श्रेणी - III (गंभीर) काटने के घावों के मामले में आवश्यक है। काटने के बाद 7 - 7 दिनों के भीतर घाव के भीतर और आसपास इस एंटिसेरम को स्थानीय रूप से घुसपैठ किया जाना चाहिए।
• रैबीज इम्युनोग्लोबुलिन की खुराक की गणना कैसे करें?
चरण 1: बाएं स्लाइडिंग पैनल से 'आरआईजी खुराक कैलकुलेटर' विकल्प पर नेविगेट करें और फिर टेक्स्ट बॉक्स में अपने शरीर का वजन दर्ज करें।
