You’re in the city’s old quarter, and can now say you’re another Bilbaíno or Bilbaína. This area is a little treasure from the fourteenth century, the origin of the so-called Botxo. This is where we hang out with our kuadrilla (group of friends), where we buy clothes and eat pintxos. This is the oldest part, the memory of this town; where you can contemplate more than 700 years of history, create the present and make plans for the future. The old quarter was once the commercial area and port and was surrounded by walls. Today it is a pedestrian area and a commercial district of 240,000 square metres full of businesses, bars and restaurants.
