About Aparados Sierra
This real complex of canyons has its beginning at the time of the municipality of Urubici - SC, where is the most vertical part at an altitude of up to 1800m, with its end between the Municipalities of Cambara do Sul - RS and São Francisco de Paula - RS. We can divide the Aparados into two parts, part of the mountain is in Santa Catarina at the highest points in southern Brazil, another part is to the northeast of Serra Gaucha. In this part of that alongside the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the edges of the mountain below belongs to the Santa Catarina state.
Along the Canyons chain there are 36 major canyons, and 25 have names and 12 are the most striking for its long stretch.
The Grand Canyons Brazilians are of great depth and breadth, some even 7km extension at a depth of up to 900mtr.
The Aparados the Serra Geral has most of Atlantic Forest of Brazil where we can find Wild animals like the dreaded Puma "Lion Baio" or Deer Campeiro very common in the central area of the Mountain. The Aparados still has the largest number of pristine parts of Brazil and here we have the lowest Registras temperatures in the country.
