Is Vegan est une application gratuite qui permet d'analyser de manière assez exhaustive la présence de substances animales dans un produit alimentaire à partir du "scan" de son code-barre et lecture de tous les ingrédients et intitulés cités dans la recette du fabricant.
Chaque mot, chaque terme, chaque intitulé, chaque ingrédient, chaque additif figurant sur l'étiquetage du produit est inspecté afin de présenter au final un rapport détaillé et une conclusion sur la présence ou non de substance animale:
- ALIMENT VEGAN
- ALIMENT NON VEGAN
A partir du "scan" d'une denrée, l'application interroge alors une base de données alimentaires et charge tous les éléments recueillis: photo, marque, labels ou récompenses, ingrédients, additifs, allergènes et traces de contamination croisée.
L'application utilise un algorithme spécialement développé pour l'analyse du produit scanné, avec au final un rapport complet et détaillé, ainsi qu'un résultat clair et explicite:
- FEUILLE VERTE = aliment répondant à l'exigence de l'alimentation Vegan
- FEUILLE ROUGE = aliment ne répondant pas à l'exigence de l'alimentation Vegan, ou sur lequel il existe un doute
