Guevara began to really understand the poverty and misery of Latin America, his thought also gradually shaping internationalism during the trip, he began to think that every Latin American independent country is actually a common cultural and economic interests of the whole, if the revolution requires international cooperation. 8 months after leaving home, on September 1952, Guevara returned to Argentina by plane, and the whole family went to meet him at the airport. In a diary he wrote at this time, he wrote:
"Those who wrote these diaries died when they set foot on the land of Argentina. I am no longer me."
