K10 - Yarning about Mental Health

‘Yarning about Mental Health’ version of the Psychological Distress – Kessler 10 Scale (K-10; Kessler, Andrews, Colpe, Hiripi, Mroczek, Normand et al, 2002; Nagel & Thompson, 2007)
The ‘Yarning about Mental Health’ version of the Psychological Distress – Kessler 10 Scale (K10) is a 10 item self-report questionnaire which measures levels of distress and severity of psychological symptoms in the month prior to the interview.
This measure is a widely used screen for mental disorders and measure treatment outcomes.
The wording of the ‘Yarning about mental health’ version is the same as the original K10 with only the format of the questionnaire having been changed to promote better comprehension of the response scale.
