The Diocesan Museum of Agrigento amounts, since its first planning phase, to the Museum of the Cathedral and the Episcopal seat itself, because it guards the whole historic fornitures. The new outfitting hosted by the rooms of the Archiepiscopal Palace is the point of arrival of a succession of “events” started in the 18th century. The Diocesan Museum offers, nowadays, an overview of all the most meaningful artworks from the 17th to the 19th century, a rich artistic heritage arrived from three collection cores: the Bishops Treasure, the Historical Museum, the Diocesan Museum.
