This app assists drivers who work for multiple Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft, and drive simultaneously on them. It has a free trial period of 14 days (no payment information needed for trial), after which a paid monthly or yearly subscription has to be purchased via in-app purchases.
How It Works
When a ride is accepted on one service (either Uber or Lyft), the user can choose to:
a) get a reminder if he or she has forgotten to go offline on the other service, OR
b) automatically bring up the other service (Uber or Lyft) so the user can manually switch the service offline.
In most cases, the app can automatically bring up the other service and automatically switch it to offline, and then automatically return to the original screen.
Similarly, when a ride ends, the app can:
a) remind the driver if he or she is still offline on other service (Uber or Lyft), OR
b) automatically bring up the other service so that the user can manually switch it online.
In most cases, the app can automatically bring up the other service, automatically switch it to online, and then automatically return to the original screen.
Benefits of the App
The app helps drivers keep their
Acceptance Rate
high on Uber and Lyft by avoiding offers for new rides when they are already on a ride (which they are then forced to decline). This allows drivers to be active simultaneously on both Lyft and Uber, for example.
It also helps to make sure drivers don't miss out on potential new rides by accidentally forgetting to switch back online the other service at the end of a ride on one.
It also helps the Ride-share companies such as Uber and Lyft because they don't route rides to drivers who are unavailable because they are already on a ride.
It helps passengers by reducing the average time to find an available driver since they won't be routed to an unavailable one.
In short, everyone benefits - drivers, passengers, ride-share companies!
App Permissions
Accessibility Permission:
In order to read the states of the Uber and Lyft driver apps, this app (like all apps that attempt to perform similar functions), requires the user to enable the Accessibility permission for the app. When first started, the app will ask the user to turn on the Accessibility Permission for the app. The app does not use the permission for any other purpose; neither does it use it to collect or store any personal data.
In-app Billing Permission:
This permission is required
only for the
purpose of purchasing a subscription at the
end of the trial
period -
if
the users decides to make such a purchase.
Additional App Information
The app runs in the background - the driver does not need to keep it open while driving. It will also automatically restart if the device is rebooted. The app needs to be opened only to change settings or subscriptions.
In-App Subscriptions
After the free trial period, continued use requires a paid subscription which can be purchased from
within
the app.
Subscriptions can be cancelled from the Google Play Store app. Cancelled subscriptions remain active till the end of the subscription period - but will not auto-renew at the end of the period.
