The Team was formed by a group of Physiotherapists and Engineers from various expertise Rehabilitation and Technology. This group was initially formed by UR staff and Students from Department of Physiotherapy, with an idea of innovating rehabilitation approaches, equipments, and technology.
The main aim of the group is to design/adapt cost effective treatment approaches protocols, devices/ rehabilitation equipments which are safe for therapists and patients at the same time with affordable costs which greatly may affect positively the lives of many, through therapy by reducing impairments and disabilities associated with neuromuscular dysfunctions affecting mobility and functioning in normal ADLs.
The products from the groups will bridge the gap between conventional therapy approaches and the new trends and trechnologies used in the Rehabilitation sciences.
The second objective focus on prevention of injuries in healthy population or in other words use of AFRI E-HEALTH for Fitness and Well being purposes by use all means focusing on Technology.
Lastly but not least, is the usage of the designed tools for academic reasons basically research and evidence Based Practice in Physiotherapy.
